Hacienda La Estancia has only been open to the public for about a year now, but its legacy goes back 450 years to the tail end years of the Spanish Conquest era. With nearly five centuries of history the hacienda is actually a part of history and has seen its share of recent state governers and a former presidente walk through its gardens and luncheon in the formal dining hall.
Today, it mainly hosts social events and celebrations, but has capacity for group overnight stays. Remnants of the hacienda's aristocratic past is evident in the furniture and overall grandiose atmosphere.
