Guadalajara's New Lifestyle Brand

For those in the know Mexico has long been an important destination for aficionados of sports such as polo and golf. In fact, Mexico hosted the most recent World Polo Championship and ranked second runner-up. And not only is Mexico- with its 150 golf courses- the top destination abroad for U.S. golfers, but Lorena Ochoa from the state of Jalisco dominated and left the sport at the very top this year.

Now Tucane- a lifestyle clothing company out of Guadalajara- hopes to be the preferred choice of home-grown players and well-dressed aficionados. The company offers sport and fashion enthusiasts a colorful variety of design for both men and women.

Hacienda La Capilla's diamond tequila bottle

Tequila distillery Hacienda La Capilla debuted the world's most expensive bottle this week.

Platinum-coated and encrusted with 4,000 diamonds the aptly-named "Diamond's Law" has an asking price of 3.5 million dollars. The Jalisco-based company will be touring Europe and the Middle East in 2011 for potential buyers. In Mexico, Tequila is a 650 million dollar industry. Or, about 200 bottles of Diamond's Law. And a 1 billion dollars market in the United States.
